Tanks a Lot – for Kids!

This past year we did a fundraiser called “Acre by Acre” where many of you gave generously to reach our goal to dig a solar well, purchase a large truck, build a shed for equipment and farmers, and clear 2 acres of land to prove that the land could produce crops. This effort is for feeding 2000 Kids in our ministry schools. Kids with no other place to go! 

Thanks to your generosity, we exceeded our goal and were also able to purchase a plow, trailer, and rent a Caterpillar D6E to put in two large lakes that we believe will supply water for the 50 acres and potentially more. God also blessed us with a brand-new tractor donated by AGCO/Massey Ferguson and a Caterpillar generator funded by Caterpillar management.

On our recent trip to Kenya at the end of July, we put together plans to finish growing the remaining donated 50 acres from the Magadi tribe. As you can guess, we need lots of things. Solar pumps, piping for watering, fencing, hay mower, baler, and planter.  Above all, we need lots and lots of water tanks with towers.  The lake waters are pumped up to the tanks and then flow out to irrigate the crops. Each tank/tower combination will cost about $1,000. We believe we will need at least 20 tanks. Along with the other supplies listed, we are once again hoping to raise $70,000 in funding. We trust there are 60 people ready to provide a “Tank”. This along with corporate matching will help us put in place the infrastructure we need. We pray that you will join us in buying a tank or many tanks or part of a tank to help us reach this goal. We don’t take your charity for granted. Please know that 100% of what you donate will go to this project and is going to feed, educate and bring the word of Christ Jesus to people in the poverty situations of Kenya.
